Committees

The CECCC is run by a board.  The board meets monthly.  If you are interested in serving on a board or on a committee please contact the appropriate chair or Terry Stewart.

The coalition comprised of five standing committees. The committees operate as work groups and meet throughout the year.

Professional Development Committee

The Professional Development Committee meets to survey, review and guide plans for professional development opportunities in the county. This committee makes recommendations to training organizations and sometimes initiates training opportunities in the county.

Kindergarten Readiness

The Kindergarten Readiness Committee is the CCIU Early Childhood Council. We meet regularly to ensure a smooth transition for students from preschool to Kindergarten.

Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee plans fundraising efforts on behalf of the CECCC. Restaurant nights, Stroller Walks, Salon Days, Retail Establishment Give Backs, and Art Shows are all planned for the balance of the fiscal year 2011and beginning of the fiscal year 2012. This committee also organizes the annual Awards dinner and dance- Celebrate Children! The event is held each year during the Week Of the Young Child.

Outreach and Communication Committee

The Outreach and Communication Committee meets regularly and prepares an activity monthly to keep early care and education on the forefront of the minds of those who can make a difference in funding and legislative support. This committee has a planned outreach activity each month in which they request the participation of all centers in the county.

The Committee is working on family engagement as part of the new LEARN grant.

Board Governance Committee

The Board Governance Committee meets as needed to continue to improve the policies and procedures undertaken by the Board of Directors and to synthesize all the materials related to the Board.
