The Childhood Education Coalition of Chester County began as a group of concerned child care directors who met to network and share ideas regarding child education and care issues facing everyone in Chester County.
Since its creation, the Coalition has evolved and expanded to include representatives from community organizations, the private and public education fields, the business community, and members of the public, all of whom have a vital interest in guaranteeing the availability of quality childhood education for every family in Chester County.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, incorporated in Pennsylvania , the Coalition is determined to improve and, in some cases establish educational services critical to ensuring that every child from birth to 13 years of age in Chester County has the opportunity to take advantage of a plan which features a strong bridge between early childhood education and school readiness.
We support the work of the LEARN grant, held by the Chester County Intermediate Unit.

- We address quality of facilities where children are taught and cared for and we assist in the professional development of staff members at these facilities.
- We strive to coordinate our ideas with all applicable agencies and school districts to create activities which promote a safe, exciting, learning environment for after-school care.
- We promote a continuation of services to ensure success for children once they start in traditional school settings.
